Updated 18/10/21

Beginning 13-14 November, Crossway people are being encouraged to regather in groups of 20 people with no reference to vaccination to worship outdoors around the city.

Additionally, there will be an opportunity for 500 people who are fully vaccinated to gather on the lawn outside the LifeCare Centre on both Saturday 5pm and Sunday 10:15am to worship together. This will be supported by the Crossway Kids ministry with a capacity for 150 people indoors who will need to be fully vaccinated if of age.

We will continue to live-stream church online at 10:15am Sunday.

Groups of Twenty

Invite up to twenty people to join you in a local outdoor space to experience Crossway Church Online together. It’s a great way to build community, connect and grow in faith together while watching Crossway Online.

These gatherings must adhere to the latest government guidelines and maintain a density of 4sqm per person. The gatherings are open to everyone, with no reference to vaccine status. Keeping a record of attendees is advised.

Church on Campus

At the Burwood East facility we are working on a new outdoor space on the lawn next to Highbury Road where we can have up to 500 fully vaccinated people worshiping together. We are planning to set this up with a coffee cart and food available and celebrate meeting together.

Crossway Kids will operate out of the main facility.

Our Asian campus is developing their plans and will communicate directly with their congregations.

Our South East Campus will be working with Nossal High School as their facility re-opens to gather as limits allow. In the meantime, as a community they have launched CSE Live online on Wednesday nights and they will continue to meet as a community on Altar-live on Sunday mornings. They are also planning for 20 person gatherings as restrictions allow.

Our Brighton Campus similarly will be meeting as allowed, and once their current renovations are complete the congregation will move in and officially commence Crossway Brighton in their updated facility.

For in-person services, registration is essential and use of the Service Victoria QR code is mandatory. Masks must be worn by adults and children over 12 years.

Pre-registration is essential for your child/ren to attend Crossway Kids. Registrations will open on the Monday of each week and can be accessed through the Crossway website.

No. The parent or guardian who checks in a child must be vaccinated. We encourage you and your children to connect into church outdoors in groups of 20, or online.

Children are not required to wear a mask at Crossway Kids, as per current Government requirements for churches. Therefore, your child/ren wearing (or not wearing) a mask will be at your discretion.

Check in will open 20 minutes before the service starts. We encourage you to arrive early to allow time to check your children in and walk to your service area.

Before entering the Crossway Kids check in area, you will be required to show proof of vaccination and your registration email. As you enter the building you will need to scan the QR code as per Victorian Government requirements. You will then enter our check in area where we will check in your family as usual.

We ask that one parent or guardian collect their child/ren promptly after the service. You will enter and exit through the main Crossway Kids doors. We have strict limits on the number of people we can have inside at one time so you may need to wait outside until other families have exited the building. Our team will be monitoring the number of people inside.

Parents of young children will be given a pager when you check in your child. Please keep this with you during the service and we will page you if your child is upset or unsettled. When paged, please promptly come to the main Crossway Kids doors and one of our team will walk you to the room.

The Parent Lounge will be closed for general use. It will, however, be made available for nursing mothers as needed. An area near the Lawn will also be available. Please chat to one of the team if you’re nursing your child and require this space.

Crossway Kids is committed to provide our families with a safe environment that complies with government mandates. Room limits and social distancing rules will be strictly adhered to. Frequently touched surfaces and equipment will be thoroughly cleaned. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance to the building and used throughout each of our rooms. Our staff and team will wear masks, except when communicating on stage.

Staff and volunteers who are 16 and over are required to have received a double vaccination to come back onsite. Currently, team members who are aged 12 to 15 years old are excluded from these requirements and can attend without being fully vaccinated. However, this may change in the future and Crossway Kids will comply with government regulations in this regard.

Crossway Kids is committed to providing a quality online experience for our preschool and primary aged children. Preschool Live is available for all preschool kids and will be held on Zoom at 9:30am every Sunday. Primary Connect is for kids in Prep to Grade 6 and will be held on Zoom at 10:45am every Sunday. Crossway Kids Online is available on demand here. For more information on these online experiences please speak to one of our team.
