Children’s Program Worker

Crossway LifeCare’s Family Violence Programs is currently seeking a Children’s Program Worker to help run their programs for children and families affected by family violence. This will include assisting to care for pre-school aged children in Sunshine House, an occasional child care program, while the children’s mothers participate in family violence recovery programs. The children’s program operates from a Montessori approach and is educational, interactive and play-based. This is a casual position up to 15.2 hours a week with school holidays off in general. Head Chef

Crossway Baptist Church is seeking a qualified chef to oversee Crossway Café operation located in Burwood East. Main duties are to produce and present excellent food to serve our community, to further enhance our Building a Disciplining Culture. This is a full-time role, with the possibilities of working weekends. Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following skills, experiences and abilities:

  • Food Safety regulations
  • Good Customer Service Skills
  • Oversee the operation of café
  • Monitor budgets and review financial transactions to
    ensure that expenditures are authorized and appropriately budgeted
  • Able to follow requests from managers and staff
  • Familiar with Western and Asian Cuisines

Intake and Referrals Worker 

Part time, 15.2 hours/week

Crossway LifeCare is seeking applicants for an Intake and Referrals Worker position within the Family Violence Programs team. This pivotal role is suited to someone with a qualification in a relevant field such as Social Work, Counselling, Occupational Therapy or Community Services, who is passionate about supporting women and children to recover from the impacts of family violence.
