2 Timothy

Written by the Apostle Paul during his Roman imprisonment, 2 Timothy was Paul’s final letter before he was martyred. As Timothy leads the network of churches in Ephesus, he faces challenge and uncertainty as he imagines a future without Paul. Persecution is on the rise, and false teachers are prevalent. The task is enormous, and Timothy is in need of encouragement. It’s into this space that Paul writes a letter encouraging Timothy to focus on the most important things, and to endure no matter the cost.
