About our facilitators

We have been facilitating Divorce Care at Crossway for over 10 years, both of us having experienced divorce in our first marriages.  We have been married for 14 ½ years and like to share a message of hope and healing.  Over the years, we have seen lives changed in many ways.  Being surrounded by a group of people who have been through the same experience has been very beneficial in providing the necessary support to get through the associated grief of divorce.  The course is run in our home so as to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere where we can view a video, share if we chose to, pray and support each other over a cuppa.

From our facilitators

It has been such a privilege to have been part of the Crossway GriefShare courses over the last few years. Our family has also experienced deep grief and loss, and out of that has come a real desire to help others find hope and healing in their own grief. Time and again I have seen how journeying together with the group members, and experiencing their care and support, can be such a wonderful part of people beginning to heal. Please get in touch with us if you think this course could be helpful for you. We would love to share the journey with you.

When someone we love dies, we feel powerful overwhelming emotions that can be difficult to talk about. At the very heart of grief is intense sadness. Grief is a deep emotional response to a great loss. GriefShare at Crossway has found a very special place in my heart. I have found the entering into another’s world of grief and loss an immense privilege as I sit with a group of people who have lost a loved one. I too, have experienced loss of very precious people in my life and to be able to share the sadness with others was very supportive and comforting. Grief when fully explored is a healing and transformative process. The GriefShare experience will provide a rich awareness of what it means to grieve.

Participant testimonials

“The Griefshare course gave me the tools to be able to move forward and deal with the pain of deep grief. It enabled me to share with people who had a similar experience, and to form friendships, which was an added bonus.
It has given me the ability to move forward and enabled me to hang on to hope, and to experience joy that I had not experienced for some time.“

“Taking part in the GriefShare course hasn’t stop my grieving, but it does help me to better understand the grieving process, and establish a plan and also a new identity to move forward. I encourage every grieving man to make an effort to take part in the GriefShare program.”
