The afternoon tool box sessions will be practical, interactive, relevant and full of take home information for your life and ministry. Enjoy the interactive approach, get to know your peers and get up close and personal to ask questions from of our ministry leaders and keynote speakers. You will have the opportunity each afternoon to attend one of the three toolbox sessions on offer. You will not need to pre-register.
DAY ONE:

Join this inspirational session discussing the enormous missed opportunity of unharnessed resources in the pews of every church. Our key presenter will be Mr Craig Winkler, founder and former chief executive of accounting software firm MYOB.

Communicating for engagement ‘scratching the itch’

What is the itch? Great question! How do you discover it, then what on earth do you do with it?
Tim Piesse is a gifted communicator and one of the lead pastors here at Crossway. He will speak on the art of communication. He will also be joined by members of our Planning Team to share strategies and procedures successfully employed to keep the Sunday service message on target.

While God is moving powerfully in the third world where have we ‘blinked’ in the West? Numbers of people are turning away from the Church at an astonishing rate, what must change? Dave Lawton is the Pastor of Church Planting here at Crossway. Join Dave as he articulates what we can learn from third world movements, and principles of explosive growth that we can apply here in Australia.

Lyn Hunter is the Life and Community Pastor at Syndal Baptist and Trish Becker is the Prayer coordinator here at Crossway. Both women bring a wealth of experience in their given areas. Come and learn about meeting the needs of those in your community and beyond, through pastoral care, prayer and practical support. Be empowered to develop what your church needs ‘to help people help people’.

Handling Conflict

Have you been troubled by difficult issues or difficult people in your ministry? Have you developed strategies to counter un-Christian, negative or destructive behaviour by an individual or a small group of people? Every situation is different but no situation should be left to fester. There are Godly principles that must be applied in every case. This toolbox is your opportunity to interact with someone who has spoken God's truth into a difficult situation and to hear how complex real-life issues can be dealt with firmly and effectively.

A favourite session returns! Throughout the week of conference we will have index cards at the info desk so you can ask your favourite speakers whatever you desire. Anything from “How do I make disciples?” to “What are you currently reading?” Join our gifted panel Gene, Dale and Mark in an informal setting as they relax and relate.

Ideas from Peers
MC Tim Piesse
Now it’s your turn. Join Tim as he MC’s a vibrant mix of your best ideas! You get the platform for a maximum of 10 minutes (yes you will be gonged after that time) to share the best idea you’ve had in the past two years. What works? What doesn’t? How can it work for my church or ministry? After your delivery, fellow delegates will have an opportunity to ask questions. What a great way to network, interact and learn from one another, not to mention the take home value of continuing relationships once your time here is over!
